What major problems should the book address?

Here are some of my current ideas:

  • Procrastination
  • Managing e-mail overload
  • Building stronger relationships
  • Leaving work earlier
  • Fixing Meetings once and for all
  • Motivating yourself
  • Receiving & giving feedback constructively
  • I’m pasty white, have no muscles, and blotchy. I want to be Brad Pitt (or maybe Angelina, minus the tattoos). Help!
  • Dealing with failure (yours)
  • Dealing with failure (other people, whom you might depend on)
  • Avoiding time-sink addictions. E.g., computer addiction (wasting 10 hours a day on Facebook)
  • Body issues: insomnia
  • Body issues: looking & feeling better (body image? looking young?)

  1. How about not letting negative/difficult people keep you from doing what you need to do? (Get them onboard, work around them, etc.)

Avoiding online time-sucks. Not just email, but social sites and other online stuff that can consume your attention if you let it.

  2. Caine says:

How about getting the most from the content that exists online. There is a lot of content out there, some of it has got to be good for you. Things that will inspire you, or help you get organized.

  3. Great ideas for the book. I love the concept of approaching problems individually.

Both Cathy and Caine’s suggestions I think cover the two other topics that come to my head as well.

I guess also not getting bogged down in the tools but rather the process. But maybe that falls under procrastination :)

  4. Forrest Wright says:

How about Blocking Out Your Day/Calendar and How to Not Be Your Own Worst Enemy (dealing with negative beliefs).

  5. ZA says:

I’d say that ‘leaving work earlier’ is a solution phrase with the problem phrase being ‘staying late at work’.

Same with ‘strong relationships’ would you go with ‘weak relationships’ or something more descriptive?

  6. Samantha says:

I’d enjoy learning about how to tell the boss that they’re the reason why you don’t get enough done.

What about some time saving tips at home; such as ways to multi task on chores?
