I write and speak extensively on leadership. My approach is twofold. First, I concentrate on what creates a leader/follower relationship between two people. There are many interpersonal and intrapersonal skills needed for leadership.
Second, I concentrate on the leader's own ability to set direction for their organization. This involves setting strategy, building systems, understanding the dynamics of the marketplace where the leader's organization exists, etc. This addresses the business and systems side of leadership.
Leadership itself was my passion for several years. In recent years, I've been putting it in context as one piece of the whole puzzle of how human beings work together to build a world worth living in, in addition to building a world that can drive a lot of commerce.
