NLP was developed in the mid-70s by John Grinder, a Professor at UC Santa Cruz and Richard Bandler, a graduate student. NLP, as most people use the term today, is a set of models of how communication impacts and is impacted by subjective experience. It's more a collection of tools than any overarching theory.

Much of early NLP was based on the work of Virginia Satir, a family therapist; Fritz Perls, founder of Gestalt therapy; Gregory Bateson, anthropologist; and Milton Erickson, hypnotist.

I'm raising money to create an automated worldwide directory of NLP training centers. It would work like the automated Practitioner database, but would contain the information currently in the organizations page. Any NLP center could enter their own information or search the database by geography, certification, specialty, etc.

Sponsorships will take the form of a hyperlink on the front page of the Web site, as well as a link on the networking page. The link will include the name of the sponsoring organization and will link to your Web site. For example:

This page is made possible in part by some wonderful sponsors: Your Training Center, Ltd..

The front page link will stay around for at least three months. The sponsorship notice on the directory page itself would be permanent.

If you don't have your own Web site, I am happy to put a couple pages of HTML on my server. This wouldn't be a substitute for a full web site for you, though, because you wouldn't have access to the pages to change them. (It would also be space limited.)

At the moment, the pages are getting visits from every day from 100-150 different Internet sites. We can assume that over the course of the three month banner ad, your notice will be seen by about 9,000+ pairs of eyes. The directory page will have a hit counter on it, so you will be able to tell exactly how many people have ever visited that page.

Let me know when/if you're interested. The sponsorships will be first come, first serve. As soon as I have money in hand, the work on the automated directory will be contracted.

Please consider it--this would be a great resource for the NLP community over time, and your name will be attached to it forever!

Write to discuss logistics and take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity!
