Time Control: Taking Back Your Time!
Time Control programs help you make real change that produces real results. Too many time management programs simply give you information and hope you’ll use it. And you do. But it’s all too easy to use a new technique for a few weeks and then revert back to old habits over time.
Time Control modules are about behavior change. Rather than bombarding you with tips, each time control module helps you adopt and develop a new habit. It’s tempting to collect tips and tricks and life hacks, without realizing that knowing what to do isn’t enough; we only get results by actually doing things differently.
Each time control module introduces a new way of behaving that will help you get results in an area of your life. For four weeks, you’ll receive a weekly video, handouts, and daily emails, reminding you how to make your new skill automatic. I know you’re busy, so Time Control modules are designed to require less than an hours’ work each week.
You’ll reach your goals more quickly and more easily using Time Control modules. Furthermore, you’ll learn the habits that will get results, so they become part of your ongoing behavior.
Each Time Control Module is just $49.
You can begin the module immediately or when it is convenient for you.
Module: Aligning Your Life Behind Your Highest Goals
If you’re working towards the wrong goals, making yourself more productive just means you’ll get more efficient at creating a life you hate.
This module will help you get clear about your real goals—what’s driving your actions on a daily basis. You’ll learn to link your everyday actions with the results you most want to achieve. You’ll drop activities that aren’t working for you, and find opportunities to change or increase your efforts to reach better results.
You’ll leave this module with a roadmap for your life, tools for keeping your daily action aligned with your top priorities, a decision-making process that insures you’ll stay aligned, and a grounded set of criteria for knowing when to say “no” and when to say “yes” to new projects in your life.

Module: Cleaning Up Energy Drains and Things You Tolerate
They say “Don’t sweat the small stuff,” but sometimes it’s the small stuff that turns into a big burden. We have a small pile of clutter here and a burned out lightbulb there. We bought a tool that we don’t quite have space for, or a broken handle on a shelf that we’ve never bothered to replace. Over time, these “tolerations” add up. Clearing them up can liberate a surprising amount of energy and freedom.
This module will lead your through the major areas of your life, cleaning your the things you’ve been tolerating. By the end of the month, you’ll have identified the tolerations in the major areas of your life. Through small but constant action, you’ll clear them up to recover the energy and lightness that they’ve been using up.

Module: Organizing Your Files
Files! I just love files! And don’t we all. One step to organizing our physical space is to get things filed where they belong. Over time, our files grow and grow … and it gets harder and harder to find what we want. Now that our files are both electronic and physical, it’s possible to lose things more creatively than ever before.
This module will teach you to identify categories and label your files in ways that will make it quick and easy to find what you need, when you need it. In the process of recategorizing your files, you’ll also weed out the ones that are obsolete, and end up with an online and offline filing system that’s an effective tool for storing and finding exactly what need to get your job done.

Module: Make Steady Progress Juggling Multiple Projects
I don’t know how other people deal, but when I have too many things I’m trying to do at once, I panic. “Juggling a dozen projects at once” is fine and good, but if you drop a ball, it can all come tumbling down. Action packs help you guarantee you’ll make steady progress on all your projects, while helping you discover immediately if your workload is too high to complete realistically by your deadlines.
In this module, you’ll create collections of regular action that will keep you moving forward steadily. You’ll identify the results you need to create, the work it will take to produce those results, and you’ll design regular habits that will guarantee your progress. As with all Time Control modules, you won’t just design the habits—every day you’ll receive a reminder to do what you’ve designed. So you take the action that will lead you to the results you want.

Module: Developing Focus Habits
In a world where web sites, media, phones, television, co-workers, and bosses are competing for our attention, it’s easy to feel pulled in a dozen directions. We end up living a life of stress and not even getting anything done, because we’re too scattered to put in the time we need to do our real work.
In this module, you’ll learn and practice healthy ways to restore focus to your life. You’ll start by practicing focus (it may be the first time you’ve done it in years). Then you’ll learn about the different kinds of focus, and decide how those apply to your life and work. You’ll even learn to deal with interruptions so they don’t disrupt your concentration. As you learn each tool, you’ll spend the next days putting it into practice. If you’ve been missing flow and achievement and want to find them again in your life, the Time Control focus module is for you.

Module: Overcoming Procrastination
I’ll deal with the stuff I’ve been procrastinating eventually. Like that pile of magazines. Sure, they date back to 1997, but I’ll get to them in the next week. Really, I will.
Procrastinating is part of being human. The procrastination Time Control module will lead you through several different ways to get yourself moving on things you’ve been putting off. By the end of the month, you’ll have first hand experience overcoming procrastination and jumping into action. As you turn these techniques into habits, you’ll have a tool chest for getting unstuck and finishing anything you’ve been putting off.

Module: Motivate Yourself to Reach Your Goals
Visualization is touted as a great way to motivate yourself and get things done. Scientists have researched the power of visualization and reached some starting conclusions. Some visualization make it much more likely you’ll reach your goals, while the wrong techniques actually make it less likely you’ll reach your goal. Ironically, many of the popularized visualization techniques are the ones that hold people back!
This module teaches you different motivational techniques to reach your goals with visualization and planning tools that are known and proven to be effective. This module is for the person who’s serious about having a mental approach to achievement that’s rigorous, streamlined, fun, and effective.

Module: Work Less and Do More: Leverage Through Combining Tasks and Reusing
Leverage is taking normal effort and producing outsized results. This Time Control module steps you finding ways to find single tasks that move forward multiple projects at once. You’ll also find leverage through reusability, by eliminating the need to repeat effort in using word processing and email. We’ll create templates for the communication you do over and over, and set up text macros so you’ll be able to complete entire pieces of writing with just a few keystrokes at a time.
